Here at West Highland Way Transport we mainly undertake long distance Private Hire Taxi and Minibus transfers serving visitors arriving and departing from the Highlands of Scotland.
 
We specialise in private transport for walkers undertaking the West Highland Way. We can undertake transfers over sections of the West Highland Way between Bridge of Orchy right through to Fort William.

From Fort William we can transfer clients back to Milngavie or any Town, City or Airport including Glasgow Airport, Edinburgh Airport, Prestwick Airport and Inverness Airport.

We have a good range of vehicles specifically chosen to offer versatility. Vehicles include cars, people carriers, minibuses and roller door luggage trailers to accommodate the Extra luggage that walkers often have.

About The West Highland Way

The West Highland Way Walk from Milngavie to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands is becoming ever more popular. Over 95 miles the West Highland Way snakes it way across what is arguably some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.

The walk can be taken at a pace to suit each and every individual. With an average time being 6 to 8 days from Start to Finish which is quite a challenge.

The route passes many small villages that offer accomodation in many shapes and forms to walkers on the West Highland Way including Hotels, Guest Houses, Bed and Breakfasts and Hostel accommodation. 

The route goes as follows. Milngavie, Balmaha, Rowerdennan, Drymen, Inversnaid, Inveraranan, Crainlarich, Tyndrum, Bridge of Orchy, Kings House Hotel, Kinlochleven before finally arriving in Fort William.

Some walkers even have enough energy left at the end of the walk to take the path to the summit of Ben Nevis. The Ben as it affectionalty known is Scotland's and the U.K's Highest Mountain. At the summit you will be 1334 meters above sea level and on a clear day the views at outstanding.

Accommodation in the before mentioned towns and villages can be difficult to find in the busier months. Its advisable to book as early as possible when there are still plenty of choice.

A lot of the B&B's, Guest Houses and Hotels specifically cater to walkers on the West Highland Way offering the likes of drying rooms and packed lunches. So its worth shopping around.
